We’re thrilled to invite everyone to participate in this open call to be a part of the Nouns Residency at the Ethereum World’s Fair, a creative space for artists and illustrators taking place during DevConnect in Buenos Aires (November 17–22, 2025).

Our goal is to build a bridge between art, community, and technology. Nouns will connect traditional and digital media through a residency that offers an opportunity to create live, explore Web3, experiment with risograph printing, and collaborate with both local and international artists.

Why Participate?

  • Learn about internet innovations (Web3: blockchain, NFTs, digital rights) and how they open new opportunities for creatives.
  • Explore the process of risograph printing.
  • Connect with artists from Argentina and around the world, sharing experiences, ideas, and feedback around drawing, illustration, and today’s creative context.

Residency Benefits

  • 500 printed copies of your illustration to be distributed during DevConnect
  • Open-edition mint of your artwork
  • 1 DevConnect ticket
  • Workshops on Web3 + risography
  • Artist compensation: 800 USDC**

**Compensation will be paid after you successfully finish the residency.

Participation Commitments

  • Attend one full day to create your illustration live, mint it, and prepare files for printing.
  • Include Nouns and or noggles ⌐◨-◨ in your artwork (how you integrate them is entirely up to you).
  • Join the pre-residency meeting (Nov 15) and the final feedback session (Nov 22).
  • Attend the remaining DevConnect days to create at your own pace, see other artists’ work, join workshops, customize and sign your prints, and talk to the public about your art.
  • Enjoy total creative freedom.

Requirements to Apply

  • You are an artist or illustrator with experience in comics, visual narratives, printing, illustrated posters, zines, or related fields.
  • You can share a link to your portfolio (Zora, OpenSea, Instagram, Behance, personal website, etc.).
  • You can share your social media handles or any channel where we can see your recent work and community involvement.
  • You’re comfortable working in collaborative or public settings, as the residency involves live creation and interaction with visitors.

What Is the Ethereum World’s Fair?

Organized by the Ethereum Foundation, this is the first global fair showcasing how Ethereum is already transforming everyday life — from DeFi and on-chain identities to governance, gaming, and decentralized social networks.

A unique space to inspire projects that use blockchain as a tool for change.

What Is Nouns?

Nouns is a creative community on the blockchain. Every day, it generates and auctions a new character with square glasses called noggles. These characters are NFTs — but beyond collectibles, they’re the foundation of a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) that funds creative and cultural projects worldwide. All artwork is CC0 (public domain), allowing anyone to propose, create, and build with Nouns.
