In partnership with Nouns GG, Oliyoun Auto Chess Club is on a mission to unify and engage the Dota Auto Chess community. Dota Auto Chess is a strategy game mod for Dota 2, developed by Drodo Studio and launched in January 2019. It features automated Dota 2 heroes battling on a chessboard layout. As of May 2019, the mod boasts over eight million players, and its popularity has spearheaded the auto battler genre.

🎯 Overview

The Oliyoun Chess Club is a competitive series featuring top talent from the Auto Chess community, organized in partnership with Nouns GG. This eight-event circuit culminates in a high-stakes Championship where players battle for a $2,000 prize pool, proudly sponsored by Nouns.

📅 Tournament Schedule

All events begin at 4 PM UTC / 12 PM EST / 5 PM CET:

  • Event #1 – April 6

  • Event #2 – April 13

  • Event #3 – April 19

  • Event #4 – April 27

  • Event #5 – May 4

  • Event #6 – May 10

  • Event #7 – May 18

  • Championship – May 24 & 25

🧩 How Players Are Selected

For Event #2, players will register via this Google Form. The event will be capped at 64 players. Players should join the Oliyoun Auto Chess Club Discord.

🕹️ Game Format

For all games leading up to the finals, we will use an advancement-based format where the top four players from each match move on to the next round. In the finals, we will switch to a points-based format as outlined below.

Points-based format:

  • 1st – 8

  • 2nd – 6

  • 3rd – 5

  • 4th – 4

  • 5th – 3

  • 6th – 2

  • 7th – 1

  • 8th – 0

Once a player reaches 14 points, they become eligible to win, but must place 1st in a future game to secure victory.

🏆 Championship & Prize Pool

The first 7 event winners will join Oliyoun in the Championship, where 8 total players will compete for a $2,000 USD prize pool. 💰 All 8 finalists are guaranteed a minimum of $100!
