TheGathering.gg is back with our first Timeless $1K! That's $1,000 cash in this FREE event!
The Format is MTGA Timeless Best of Three. Rounds will be Swiss with a top cut, based on Attendance.
We'll be hosting a $1K tournament regularly for at least the next 6 months, with a focus on Timeless and other underserved MTG Formats

Rules
Swiss rounds will be based on attendance. If more 16-31 players participate, the final two rounds will be a cut to top 4. If more than 32 players participate, there will be a cut to top 8 instead. The round structure will be locked in based on the attendance at the signup deadline.
The Format is MTG Arena Timeless, best of 3 matches using the MTG Arena in-game timer.
Players will use the Direct Challenge system of MTGArena to pair with each opponent. To challenge a player using this system:
Get their MTG Arena Screen name from the MTG Melee round pairings
Click the crossed swords in the top right corner of the MTG Arena Client
Use the Arrows to select: (Limited Tournament Match)(Deck Type:60 Card)(Format:Best of Three)(Coin Flip)(Timers On)
All players are required to submit a Timeless legal decklist 1 Hour before the event start time. If there is no decklist or communication from a player by the start time, that player will be dropped from the tournament.
Unintentional draws aren't allowed for this event, but intentional draws are possible with the agreement of both players. All normal MTG rules must be followed whenever possible, and there's a 0 tolerance policy for bribes, coercion, and paid agreements.
Decklists will be open, and any player can safely stream their match over discord for a chance to appear on the official broadcasts. We politely request that undefeated to stream in Discord. Do note all Top 8 Matches will be required to be streamed.
All players must be in The Gathering Discord for communication purposes
In the event a player isn't in a match with their opponent within 5 minutes of the start time of each round, a match can't be completed, or a player disconnects, contact a Gathering staff member to assist. In the event of a disconnect mid-match, potential penalties include a game or match loss.

Each round will begin as soon as possible as each round finishes
Prizes
The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes in 60 days or less.
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $150
3rd-4th: $100
5th-8th: $75
$50 Held for Door Prizes or 9th place cutoff. Additional Door Prizes to be determined later and added based on attendance.
